Hi,
I came across a job posting for what seems to be a great opportunity (I'll be a nurse anesthetist soon) and I'm considering applying for the job. This would mean relocating to the Lakeland area from Minneapolis. Looking for any and all information you have on the Lakeland area. I don't know much about it except that it's located between Tampa & Orlando, has a tropical climate, and seems to be an affordable place to live.
Thanks!

Lakeland is a nice town for the most part and offers some affordable living close to Tampa. I know very little about it but know others on the forum who do. I'm sure they'll jump in and offer some info.

Hey - I'm here! I have posted quite a few things about Lakeland on this board. You can search my user name doing a search and "Lakeland" - I know I have posted quite a few nice links that have great info about Lakeland.

It is a very nice, pretty city, self contained with amenities of its own, and right between Tampa and Orlando. Lots of pretty lakes in town, Lakeland's mascot is the swan, and Lake Morton is a swan sanctuary. Anyway, best parts of town are southside downtown, and south Lakeland, or far north (away from just north of downtown).

Good luck!
