I have a minivan with multiple issues and am looking for someone to do work at our house on it.
One major thing now is the locks constantly go up and down, all day long. Found a man on Craigslist who charged us a modular part and never came back to finish the job (the part was faulty).
Van has tranny issues too.
Looking for someone honest and dependable.
Thanks!

Electrical issues can be very hard to diagnose and arent always present when a mechanic is available, could be any one of a dozen different items causing the electrical glitches, most mechanics will just keep putting in new parts till they get the right one,it could also be a short in the wiring harness or the possibility of corroded electrical contacts, in short a mechanics nightmare,
Transmission would be a little more straight forward with choices being repair the unit you have, buy a rebuilt unit or buy and install a used unit from a scrap yard either choice will probably cost in the $1000 range.
Personally if this van is more than 10yrs old you might want to think about replacing it as you may end up spending more in repairs than the van is worth..
I'd hazard a guess at this van being a late 90's Ford Windstar or a late 90's Chevy Safari

Google Mobile mechanic in your area and good luck..
