Pretty ugly. The surrounding neighborhoods probably aren't dangerous, but probably not all that good.

I live in this area. its ok.... not the greatest but it all depends on the type of person you are and what you want.

As far as crime... i been here for over 20 yrs things happen. Doesnt matter where you are at.

It is where I live (a bit North. near Humphrey/Himes) in a nice, quiet and safe gated community. There are a few of them around. I have never had any problem, and it is close to some supermarkets (important to me). But I am not in the streets at 3 or 4 am.

I have to agree, it is not a great area, move more north and it would be much better. I have lived in tampa for many many years and know the areas well.
