My wife and I are planning a move from Ohio to Tampa, Florida. We are both nurses and I will be transferring with HCR Manor Care/Heartland to a facility in either brooksville, zephyrhills, or carrollwood. We have been down a few times and have looked in Land O Lakes, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills. We also looked in Brandon and Riverview which we liked but is too far away from my jobs. We are looking for a nice, relatively new and growing area, quiet place to raise a family. We don't like the big city life, but not too country either! Any advice?? Particularly Land O Lakes??

Walden Lakes in Plant City you might like if you wind up working in ZHills. I think you would find it to be similar to Brandon area.

Spring Hill/Hernando Beach maybe for Brooksville job. You might like Weeki Wachee. Many choices around there.

If you work in Carrollwood there are again many choices depending how far you want to drive. Cheval is very upscale, Oldsmar quainter, Lake Magdalene area and then as you head north to Land of Lakes just a zillion choices.

You might check the differences in taxes for Hillsborough versus Pasco. Then deed restricted areas versus non restricted, price range, schools, etc.

Personally I wouldn't want to drive from Westley area to Carrollwood for work, given so many options which are closer.

You might check out South Tampa before you decide. Tampa might not really be big city life. But your not gonna have a pony or kennel in your yard.

Happy Hunting
