My family and I will be moving to the area in a few months and we are having a hard time picking an area. I grew up in St. Pete/Clearwater and remember some of those areas.

Has anyone had any experience with the Ellenton and/or Brandenton area? Right now we are looking at some really well priced homes in Ellenton.

Any areas to avoid?

Outlet Mall....and Bradenton...is mostly for elderly people unless you play tennis at the academy.

If you like people in front of you who drive slow and you have no clue what they are going to do in the next minutes than it is a great area for you....

I lived in bradenton for 4 years and I'm glad to live in the Tampa area now...sometimes we drive over there for a couple of hours but i'm glad to be in this area, it makes me feel younger

Sorry about the wrong forum. I looked over the areas and missed it. I guess I will fit right in with the old mindless drivers in the area!! lol Can't wait to move...

Ellenton's location isn't that bad - not far from Tampa/Brandon, St Pete, Sarasota-Bradenton.

That is why we are looking there. Seems you get more of a house for the money too. Most of what I remember of St pete is older.
