thanks its very pretty and artsy here. i want to paint some of the scenes here when i can. i might make my own website to sell my paintings on as a side income. i love the steam boats on the river too and someone told me there was a waterfall 15 miles away on the other side of the river that i might go take pics of and paint as well.

The OP graduated school, found a job and moved to a lovely area and found a home. Home Depot is NOT in her future, she found something in her chosen profession.

Thanks to BucFan for reviving this thread. It was so interesting to read, I hope NQ is doing well, wherever she is now.

over a year since she's posted .....odd that she posted more when we was in dire straits compared to now when it sounds like her life's circumstances has improved

Well, she's not here anymore, she achieved her goal and she's moved on to new adventures. This thread was so fascinating, though, with the lovely photos at the end like the happy ending of a story.

Anyone know where that location is? Somewhere in America of a kinder, gentler era. Made me think of Mark Twain.

I read this and at one point wondered if the OP was playing folks a little bit, but even if that was the case, it was a great story. The OP does have the soul of a storyteller and it shows that there is still a Beat Generation in America. With all the bad news these days, this was a lift.

Again, thanks, BucFan.

Default Nomad Queen update

BucFan, I looked up Nomad Queen's posts, wow, she has been very busy and moved a bit. Looks like at one point she was thinking of moving to Fairbanks, in May she was looking at moving to CO from OK. Hope she didn't get hit by a tornado.

It's funny to see this thread. I was wondering what happened to Nomad Queen

Her license needs to be renewed by the end of August. I hope she doesn't let it lapse, even if she is no longer in the state of Florida. Most other states will acknowledge the license, otherwise known as reciprocity

When she posted a picture of where she moved to, I guessed Mississippi. Looks like I wasn't even close

She's still posting as recently as May 22, asking about moving to Colorado.
