I'm going to be moving to the Tampa Bay area in early September and I am looking for a neighborhood that is as similar as possible to my current one. Right now I live at Colfax and Downing in downtown Denver. The downtown location is not as necessary as the rest of the environment. This blog shows pics of my neighborhood (//www.city-data.com/forum/denve...hoto-tour.html) and I love it! I was wondering if there is anything like it in the St Pete/Tampa area? The apartments are usually pretty cheap, lots of bars and restaurants and unique little shops, and (of course) some drug dealers and quite a few homeless. The homeless and the drug dealers are never a problem though; mind your business and they'll mind theirs. I am just broke and need a cheap 1 bedroom to stay in (prefer closer to non-evac areas) for a single, late-20s male. Thanks!

Check out Seminole Heights / Hampton Terrace area.

Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association

Also you might like Channelside. Apartments are around $800 there.

Hi ChillE Dogg - I was just thinking about you the other day (wondering if you'd moved here) Didn't you ask this same question last summer (I remember your cool photo tour and we all discussed it) I don't think anything has changed, so the neighborhoods suggested then will be the same.

Good luck to you.
