HI, My wife and I (and our 2 year old))are both physicians and are planning a move to Tampa to be closer to family.
We are looking for areas to buy a house in.
Budget ~ 600 -700 K
Looking for a waterfront property preferably.
Safe upscale neighborhood; with good shopping and restaurants close by.
We are not sure about where exactly we are going to work yet.
Any suggestions.

Default Possibilities for you

Some possibilities you might look at are:

Waterchase in Tampa, Davis Island in Tampa, Dana Shores in Tampa

Lansbrook in Palm Harbor

Island Estates in Clearwater Beach

Belleair

A lot will depend on where you want to be located and what you will need to be close to but any of those could provide what you're looking for.

My suggestion would be for you to determine where you'll be working first and then find your residence within a reasonable commuting distance. This whole area is spread out. Mass transit is practically non-existent so everyone drives. There's no shortage of waterfront properties and you shouldn't have any problems finding the right place at the right price. Location is a big factor.

South Tampa, New Tampa, Palm Harbor, East Lake, probably Lutz/Odessa, and parts of Brandon.

Thank you for the feedback. Belleair looks promising. Also like Davis Island

IMO, you can't go wrong with Snell. If I were moving to St. Pete, it would be my top choice (if I could afford it, LOL!)
