Our Grandparents surprised my boyfriend and I by offering to pay for our trip down to Florida to visit them as well as the rest of our family. It was very generous of them and we want to do something nice in return for them while we're down. They're from the Tampa area, they actually live in Sun City Center. We were thinking to take them out to a nice restaurant, to see a show or possibly a dinner show.

I spoke to my Aunt about it, who lives in Florida as well and she recommended the restaurant Circles in Apollo Beach or Cirque du Soleil in Orlando. Cirque du Soleil looks like a lot of fun but it might be a little bit more then we'd like to spend (around $350-400 for the four of us).

We were looking for some other options and were wondering if anyone had any ideas for us.

While searching the internet I came across Sleuths mystery dinner show, it seems to have some good reviews but I'm not sure?

Any input would be much appreciated! If it matters any, my boyfriend and I are in our early-mid twenties, my Grandparents are in their sixties and we'll be visiting during March. Thank you in advance!

What about The Columbia Restaurant in Ybor? No theater but they have Flamenco dancing just be sure to make reservations for the show. They have a variety of food but Cuban/Spanish food is their speciality
Columbia Restaurant - Ybor City, Tampa, Florida Location

Berns Steak House.. International famous steak house with a room for deserts that are wonderful, the wine list is as big as a dictionary.

This is so very thoughtful of you; I'm sure they will appreciate your kindness. I guess it depends on what they and you like. There's a lot to do here in March. The Times has a pretty good website with things to do...everything from very expensive to free. WTP, take a look at the following website, plug in your dates and see all the options --> Things to do in Tampa Bay | tampabay.com & St. Pete Times. If you can, write back here and tell us what you decided.

Thank you everyone for the helpful replies and recommendations, we really appreciate it!

We're really leaning towards The Columbia restaurant with the Flamenco dancing in Ybor, looks like a great choice. Does anyone know off hand if they have parking on site or is parking difficult in Ybor?

The restaurant has its own parking spaces all around it... Hope you and grandparents enjoy the Flamenco show and the food!

^ Awesome, thank you. Believe it or not, being so close to NYC, I stink at parallel parking!

I'm just waiting for a confirmation back from my Aunt that they do indeed like Spanish/Cuban food. After I hear that it's a definite go.

If you're open to the Orlando area, I'd HIGHLY suggest one of the dinner shows out there. As stupid as they sound, they're actually a LOT of fun. My favorite is Sleuths.

Just wanted to update you guys. My Grandparents do like Cuban/Spanish food and we made a reservation at The Columbia for this weekend with them. We're leaving for Florida on Thursday.

Again, thank you everyone for the help and input and I'll let you guys know how it goes.
