Has anyone ever lived on 5th avenue in Ybor? Or more specifically 22nd street and 5th ave? Is is safe? Not a party goer, but I love Ybor in the day.Won't be out pass midnight too much.

22nd is the main route so lots of traffic and people trying to park. If you like the area and feel ok, its probably ok for you. It's a mix of commercial and residential. The worst crime seems late at night, but if you are cautious probably ok. East of there can get stranger. You could probably do better for the same price. Channelside area is walking distance and newer.

I think over time you might find it noisy, a lot of partying, bit unkempt. If that's cool or fun to you nothing wrong with that. For me, been there, done that so no interest. At least ride around the area a lot at 9-11pm and get a feel before taking the plunge.

Not the best area. 22nd Street is a pretty good dividing line between Ybor the night destination and Ybor the rundown area. Definitely check out the crime reports and drive around at different times on weekdays and weekends.

Thanks for responding.I have been there during those party hours and my particular street has been quiet everytime, not a lot of traffic or people, but i don't know if that a good thing or not.

It depends, really. The blocks get progressively sketchier the further east and north that you go.

Yep thats true.I do believe that the house is just in the perfect spot because i can literally see the Columbian restaurant from the porch. If i was just two houses to the east i would not take it. I.m right on the border.
