As a guy who spent a good deal of time single, one of the best places to meet women is the grocery store. I have been picked up several times in the hot sauce aisle. The line runs something like "Excuse me, I'm looking for something hot but I don't want it to melt the enamel on my teeth!" while holding two different brand name bottles of hot sauce, "which of these would you suggest?" I've used a variation while holding two cans of Asparagus, I ask " Excuse me, but..... is there really a difference in these two brand names?"

Do I need to have hot sauce in my evening bag then so I can be hotter? Maybe a dash behind the ear? I'm just learning the rules here

No. All of the hot sauce aficionados are kind of nerdy. You'll attract weirdos with hot sauce. If a guy has a substantial amount of hot sauce knowledge, he is likely a virgin. How fun can a guy who gets his thrills from spicy liquid be? Not that there is anything wrong with hot sauce, but it shouldnt be a hobby. I would suggest trying to meet people at happy hours, as there are a lot of single women in their 30s and 40s in this town. Once you meet them, you can venture out into the nightlife spots as a pack. Other places to check out would be Fly Bar and Resturant and Taps (both downtown. Fly is on franklin, Taps is on Ashley, about 3 blocks from eachother near skypoint). There is a good professional crowd there in the evenings.

Women, specifically cougars usually travel in packs of two or more. At some of the happy hour spots or resturants on a weeknight, you'll be fine alone. I wouldnt venture into typical nightlife spots alone.
If you pick ugly friends, then it is a possibility they will get attention, but that it is only the guy trying to get your attention. It works one of two ways, depending on the group. Bitchy girls get jealous, and they will want to know why dude is talking to their ugly friend and not them. Then at some point bitchy girl is kind of pissed she isnt getting attention. she also is starting to feel insecure. At some point, she will steal said dude and make poor decisions. that was said dudes intent all along. End scenario one.
Scenario two, dude approached ugly chick again. In a group of nice girls. Nice girls all think said dude is a sweetheart. Dude pulls the old switch-a-roo once hot nice girls guard is let down. I will caveat this scenario with this statement: Nice hot girls are few and far between. Spotting one is like spotting bigfoot. Many believe she doesnt exist, and there is only a couple of fuzzy photographs of her that dont really prove anything. Most hot chicks that think they are nice, are usually kinda bitchy. it is okay- it is the law of nature.
Sorry ugly people, you still have to be nice. Unless you are rich.
It can be tough to make friends in tampa. I suggest just hitting happy hours and enjoying yourself. The stuff I have said previously in this post is not my modus operandi, I usually just go out with my friends and have a good time. I joke about cougar poaching, we never actually go out with those intentions, but sometimes we find ourselves trapped in a circle of cougars like a couple of zebras, and that is okay with us. At the 13UM white party a few weeks back, I felt like I was on safari, At one point my friends went to the bar to get drinks, I felt like I was in a cougar pen with a steak tied to me. Cougars are definately indigenous to tampa.
Disclaimer for all- Some people think I am mean for posting stuff like this and that is fine. I have never proclaimed to be the nicest guy in the world. In fact, I get quite a few DMs from people who made an account specifically to DM me because of my brutal honesty, and they dont trust a lot of you to be as dreadfully honest as I am. My filter is set to zero, and if it bothers you that I say things like ugly people have to be nice, take it up with god, he is the one that made you ugly, dont be mad at me.
