We almost did Upack, but we read about the certainty of breakage from the freight trucks they use.
wow, that sounds expensive for a do it yourself. we had a full service moving company get us down here from dc for a bit less than that.

I recomend penske too!! They dont get that great of milage but they have great service. We had a trailer axle break that was towing our trailer and they took care of it all and gave us a decent discount on the rental for the hassle/time delay it caused is.

Also, there flexible with there prices so if someone quotes lower, tell them and they usually will match or beat it.

I also used ABF for a move (penske TO utah, abf back to florida) While its nice not having to drive a big truck, unless your a pro packer expect stuff to get ruined. We had a lot of stuff get damaged on the move and I did a pretty damn good job padding and packing everything as good as I could. My flatscreen even got all scratched up. I had it up, with pillows surrounding the whole thing, blankets around that and then seran (sp) wrap to hold it all together and it still ended up getting beaten around.
I just remember unloading the trailer when we got back ready to just throw everything in the dumpster because so much stuff had gotten messed up. I wouldnt recomend doing that AT ALL.
