Almost not a drop at my house in over 3 weeks. If Emily stays to our east then expect a super dry weekend with mid 90's for highs. With TS's or hurricanes the east side of the storm will make the air sink and heat up, capping most all T-storms from building.

I don't know about the rest of the "Tampa area" but right now it's pouring again here in Lutz and so dark outside it looks like nightfall (currently 9:41am). It's nice to get enough rain but I would like to share with the rest of the country -- the USA. It's rumbling out there, deep and strong, like my 1981 Camaro Z28!

It does feel like 8-9 PM at night and i'm ready to go home from work
Other than that i think i'll end up staying at home tonight rather than going out to play in the sand. On the other hand it should clear out by the evening.

I'm going to Palm Harbor to show property at 6pm. I just looked up Weatherbug on my phone and gadzooks, it looks like the whole state (minus a couple of small areas) is covered with storms. And it's 73 degrees - really?

One of my colleagues called a few minutes ago and he'd been on I-75 near Brandon. He said the highways were slick and cars were sliding all over the place.

The National Weather Service reports that deep moisture is producing numerous thunderstorms... more here --> http://www.srh.noaa.gov/tbw/. I think that CHASLS2 might get a few drops today!

Be safe everybody!
