Hello, I am visiting family in St Pete. Are there local venues that bring in the over 40 & 50 y.o crowd? I'm NOT interested in what Tampa has to offer. Are there locations in St Pete that have live bands or DJ with GOOD music to dance to? I'm open to any other recreational suggestions...its Friday and I want to go out this weekend and have some FUN!

Default Seriously?

Seriously, is that all? No other options than going on a gator exhibit/show or waiting for a hurricane to hit land. Seriously?

Is there ANYONE out there that goes OUT?

Those are the names of places, not gator exhibits or whatever.

The Hurricane is on St Pete Beach and has a 40-ish crowd. Gators is on Johns Pass.

I'm sorry that you got such bad advice. Gators? Seriously? The average age there is probably 21 - for every person over 21, there's someone with a fake ID. The average age of a Hurricane patron is deceased. They probably sell Polident cocktails...

I hope it's not to late to salvage the weekend, but just head down to Central/2nd St and start walking around.

A few suggestions within a few blocks of that intersection:
The Garden - 217 Central (bands/DJs)
Ruby's Elixir - 15 3rd St N (jazz bands)
Push Ultra Lounge - 128 3rd St S (DJs)
Sake Bomb - 548 Central Ave (DJs)
Ceviche - 95 Central Ave (downstairs bar has bands)

Max and Sam's Steak House on the West Side has an excellent piano bar with a more "seasoned" crowd.

And do they just keep playing thriller again and again?

Is this thread a joke? You'd be hard pressed to find a place in St. Petersburg that isn't for 40-50 yr olds. Try Central Ave.

Most posts i read about people coming to the area are going to the beach,so head out there and meet the people, i'd recommend Johns Pass to start as their are several bars and restaurants, many fishing and casino boats and a great beach..
Looks like this=
johns pass florida - Google Search
