Good morning would anyone know of any nice communities in the Tampa or surrounding areas that are man-gated communites that were built between 2000-2011. Looking to purchase a home in a nice community if possible. Below the 200,000's.

Also does anyone know of any good builders like DR Horton, Centex, KB Homes, etc.

There are several nice man-gated communites in the Tampa Bay area, but I am not sure if you'll be able to get your other criteria as well, that of homes built in 2000-2010 and priced below the 200,000's.

Cheval, one community in Westchase, and communities in New Tampa would be man-gated and these are all nice. However, I doubt if you'll get any homes built after 2000 in these places that are priced below 200,000, but you should check out the MLS listings for these locations just in case.

Maybe a smaller 2000 sq foot home in The Eagles that needs some TLC. It's man gated and has two golf courses!

Those "man" gated communities hire some of the worst contractors to provide "security". My grandmother, before she died lived in bayou club (the nicest part of Bardmoor) which had a manned security gate. The people who regularly manned the gate looked like they were "just off the boat", so I dont know how effective they were.

Wow that's crazy so you are telling me South Florida is cheaper I live in West Palm Beach, Florida and I almost purchased a home about three weeks ago in a man gated community and the houses were built from 2004-2006 homes were once 400,000 to a million dollars now they go between 150,000-400,000 I think they are out there because South Florida is a whole lot expensive then Tampa, but thanks everyone for your input.

We live in Grand Hampton in New Tampa and there is quite a lot for sale in your price range and our gate is guarded.
