Hey everyone!
It's been almost 4 months since we moved back to FL.. sooo glad to be back! We're considering moving a little further north though and wanted to know how the beaches north of Pinellas are?! Most of the people we know in the Spring Hill area come down to Clearwater for some reason, I prefer St. Pete Beach.. are the beaches up that way different or something? Which beaches do most people go to in Pasco and Hernando counties, I'd like to check them out! Thanks!!

There are no beaches in Hernando or Pasco county that I'm aware of. There is one small beach like park in Tapon Springs. You'll need to stay in Pinellas if you want beaches.

There aren't any decent beaches in the counties north of Pinellas.

Are there any beaches besides Tarpon Springs? I know Tarpon Springs is in Pinellas, but it's right on the border.

Until you get to about Panama City, that is true.

I think there's a small one at Howard Park in Tarpon and there's always Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. Aside from those, there's a twenty-some stretch of beach from Clearwater down to Pass-a-Grille.

Not much north of Pinallas or lets say Clearwater and the islands not far off the coast, however there are a few if you dont mind really small beaches

Anclote Key park has a small beach
Green Key Park in Port Richey has a small beach
Hudson has a small beach area
Small beach on the Weeki Wachee river, Rogers Park?
At the end of Sr50 is a small beach at Pine Island

Its not that there arent any "good" beaches in that area....there just arent ANY beaches. Its mainly mangroves and nature preserves up in that area. Hudson beach is the closest to a beach up there and its only about 1000 feet long and is more like an inlet for sludge and garbage then an actual beach like St Pete beach, Indian Rocks, etc. Youre better off to go swimming in the springs up that way then trying to find a beach.
