What is a good web data base to look for jobs in the area? I have a few years to go yet, but want to be ready when the time comes and would like to see who is hiring what. Thanks in advance, Jerry

It depends on what you do, or want to do. Different types of employers use different job boards. Indeed.com is one of the better catch-all boards, but nothing beats the direct websites for the company you want to work for. There is also:
- USAjobs.com
- Tampagov.net
- Jobing.com
- tampa.jobs-to-careers.com

And many others.

The company websites are the best.

you can also try simplyhired.com in addition to what everyone else has said.

Indeed and Simplyhired seem to be the same thing.

Monster and Careerbuilder are useless.

LinkedIn is a decent place to look for a job.

Craigslist is a nightmare for everything. Maybe go there if you're looking for a quick lawn-mowing type job, but no serious employer goes there.

Indeed.com actually crawls companie's websites and shows those openings in your search. It simply redirects you to the company and you apply with them rather than thru indeed.
