Hi Y'all,

I'm moving to St. Petersburg and was curious if they allow grills for your patio/deck in apartment homes. Thank you

Depends on the complex.

As a general rule, most apartment complexes in this area specifically prohibit open flame grills (charcoal or gas) on patios & balconies "by order of the fire marshall". Typical construction includes a wooden roof over these areas it is very easy for the flames to lick up a little too high and soon the whole building is on fire. Apartment complexes usually provide a few picnic style grills in an area where it is safe to light a fire.
