With the disturbance in the Gulf do you think this will be a wet Labor Day weekend? I really hope not as we are coming down 9/1-9/5 to do some looking around at neighborhoods and plan on going to the beach once or twice. I would hate our trip to be rained out

It has been raining a little bit every day (typical for this time of year), but I think you may be mistaken. There is currently no Gulf storm activity. Perhaps you are confused with the hype about Katia, which in the east Atlantic is neither headed our way nor is going to be a factor for anyone in the next week:

There's no official storm or depression, or even an invest yet, but they are saying there's a possibility one will develop in the next couple days.

Obviously, they can't yet be sure of whether it will develop, let alone where it will go.

Yes, your trip might be rained out, but it might be just fine. There's really no way to know yet.

This year has been much, much wetter than last year. We started out dry, but man..... it's been raining a lot.

NHC now labels it an invest. Invest 93 : Computer Model Hurricane Forecasts : Weather Underground

FK.... it does seem like it's raining a lot lately, although the storms often go north or south of where I am. But all these clouds. Blah.

I love the beach when there's a nice, gentle rain. No lightning, though.

The system in the gulf is headed west/northwest and it's already centered west of us, so I don't think it's going to be a problem here this weekend. The weekend forecast seems like normal summer scattered t-storms. I'd bank on good beach weather.

We will dry out some over the weekend. If the so called TD or TS if even gets that far will help to dry us out as air sinks around these tropical systems. I've only had 5 days of real this whole summer so it won't matter much for my area anyway.
