Does Sun City allow any younger families to own a vacation home there? Or do you have to be over 55? I know some communities will allow a portion of the residents to be less.

In Sun City they allow people 50 years of age to purchase a home that is brand new. For a resale you have to be 55 years old. You can purchase a home in Sun City at any age, but you just cannot live in Sun City unless you are over 50/55 years of age. There have been investors that purchase in Sun City and rent the homes, they just cannot live here. Hope that helps.

thanks Kelly - I visited an agent w/ Century 21 and he couldn't tell me that when I was investigating a possible purchase there (Kings Point).

You can own a home in Sun City if you are less than 55 years old if you are using it for rental property. Whoever you lease the home out to has to be at least 55 years old. If you wanted a vacation home here, one of the people that lives in the home has to be at least 55. If are 50 and want to live here, there are a few homes that are sold to owners that at 50. This is only new homes and not existing homes. Anyone under 19 can only be at the home 90 days in one year. Hope this helps.
