Hello, all! Moving to the Tampa Bay Area in late Sept / October this year. Wondering what can I expect for weather in this area in the Fall?

Also, I would like to stay active and meet people during the Fall.
Do you recommend any good gyms?
Do a lot of people do walks along the beach or is it too cool?

Are there scenic areas to ride bikes? Good trails?

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks!

definitely not too cool for walks on the beach, that's for sure. It wont start cooling here until november and even then, its still hot most days just less humid.

As far as bike trails, there are paved ones but not any true "trails" to ride on unless you drive up into the country somewhere.

Well we have volleyball all year round with Tampa Bay Club Sports (good way to meet people and stay active). There are few bike trails around, avoid riding in the street.

There are trails to ride in Tampa, St.Pete, etc.

I used to go to Morris Bridge which is over 20 miles of trails and is maybe 10 miles from downtown

There is a trail that runs from Tarpon to St. Pete . It is an excellent bycycle trail.

Basically, after four months of constant 90-degree heat, the days start to feel different right about now. Ever been to a symphony performance? The days right now are like the gentle hum of the orchestra tuning itself before the big show begins. Autumn here is heavenly.

The only chilly months here are January and February, and I've only experienced those months once. And by "chilly" I mean I never once had to break out my winter jacket that I wore in the frigid midwestern winters. There were a few nights where I considered it though...

Seriously, the most beautiful time of year here starts now. November is an unbelievably beautiful month, and it isn't much of a tourist season so we Floridians get to enjoy it to ourselves.

Oh, and welcome to Tampa

Well it can get cold in Dec in the teens even single digits but that is not the norm. There are lots of things to do in the fall and even in Feb there is Gasparilla parade and Renaissance Festival.
