sit in traffic or sit on your porch in a run down little apartment with a roach problem??

Just kidding, I agree with you. I work for the cable company here and so I work all over. I just happen to be working that area for the past 6 months or so. They could up and decide they need me in odessa, downtown, new tampa or town and country next week so Im not going to relocate my home due to where im working at the moment. Its not my gas money

I also will add though that a lot of people do commute because you deffinitly will get a nicer house out here than you will in the city for the same price. If you would rather have a decent, newer home for under 1500 a month. South tampa isnt the place for you. You can hardly find a 1 bedroom apartment for under 1000, thats not even a nice one!

There are a lot of places around DI that could save this guy money on gas and save him from traffic aggravation.

I weigh things very simply: which do I want to do more? sit in traffic or on my porch!
Ill also add in that the smell is the water treatment plant. DONT live by there (waters and sheldon). Holy cow its bad.

What about the Carollwood or Lake Magdelene area? That is pretty solidly middle class.

You might could get something pretty nice in New Tampa or Tampa Palms. I don't know how long the commute would be on I 75... would depend on traffic.

If you like older homes you could live in Old Seminole Heights. That is where I live.

If you can find anything in South Tampa or on Davis Islands those areas are great and would be convenient for you. However those areas are very desirable and you are not going to get much for your money there.

In terms of Targets, they are all over the place in Tampa. There are five or six of them in the area I think, so you won't be too far.

Carollwood and lake magdelene areas are nice as well. I feel there is a little more traffic (depending of where your at in the area specifically) but they are nice. I grew up in carrollwood.

Check out Greater Northdale. Carrollwood is hit or miss depending on the street. If you look in this area be sure to do plenty of exploring. Many different types of neighborhoods.
