YAY! I love Trader Joes! Thanks for posting!

But I wonder why they chose Naples? I like Naples and all but it doesn't exactly seem to be the best location to reach their "target" market. South Tampa, St Pete or Sarasota would have been a much wiser choice to test the Florida market...(not to mention MUCH better for me LOL)!

Rumours I have heard are that Sarasota and Tampa are soon to follow. I doubt St. Pete will get one anytime soon, they seem to be choosing cities that have Whole Foods, among other things.

Well, I've never been to a Trader Joe's so that's interesting. But, there is no way I will drive over 150 miles to Naples just to go to the grocery store. I think I can find what I need here until one is built a little closer to Tampa.

I've never been to a Trader Joe's, either, but I have so many great choices to shop here that I would never go out of my way for it or any other store, really. Ten miles is my limit for anything.

Default just wait

Trader Joe's is amazing! Once one comes to Tampa you will understand and shop there all the time! I can shop for 1/4 of the price as a big grocery store and everything is great!

A little birdie told me there will be about 5 TJ's across Florida in the next 2 years. At least that's the plan now. The birdie didn't know where the others would be though...

I was thinking of the same thing. Once they test Florida, other cities will soon follow.

I personally am not a big fan of Trader Joe's. The one thing I have found is that they will carry what I like for a brief time, then stop carrying that product. It has happened more than once. I asked a TJ's employee about that and they acknowledge that it happens. They like to circulate their products. They obviously won't do that for the staples. Would be nice to have some compition for Whole Foods.
