My family and I moved to Lithia earlier this year but had to move back to Delaware because of my husband's job. We are returning to Lithia in the summer, but my mom is interested in moving down. She wants a "small town feel." I'm not sure if that even exists anymore! She is a crafter and wants a location near Lithia with a small town feel but inexpensive. Schools aren't an issue for her, as her kids are grown.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

There's several small towns near Lithia where she can enjoy what she wants to do. Look at some of them around.

Name one... the metropolis of Edison, or Durant or Balm?

I kind of imagine that's not quite what the OP is looking for...

When I think of small town, I think of something like Dunellon, Inverness, Crystal River, Arcadia.

Plant City is really just another suburb of Tampa, even though it has a nice little downtown. Although I think it's likely the closest such thing to Tampa. Definetly nothing like that near Lithia

Not really close to Lithia but what about Zephyrhills or Dade City. There are 55+ places there. Also there is Sun City which is closer to Lithia.

As Annie stated there are a lot of places that might appeal her but only she knows if a place is too small or too large.

The one thing is there probably won't be any craft stores in a small town

Dade City and Zephyrhills dont really have the small town feel, to me anyway, especially Zephyrhills.

Let me also add a couple: Mount Dora, Zellwood, Bushnell

Not really near where the OP was looking, but I digress

You gotta be kidding! I lived in Dade City for 12 years - population about 5,000 in the town! what do you call small anyway?
