its so much better here than it was in south florida. down there its almost impossible to have a real relationship unless u get out of the whole "scene" entirely. people in tampa seem way nicer and easier to get to know, especially the women. miami/ft. lauderdale is truly the most bizarre, ridiculous place ive ever encountered.

Ahh yes, South Florida, I had alot of fun there, but couldnt see my self actually meeting that one person and settleing down..that is why I came back to Tampa(or back to reality and down to to earth). I believe any place is what you make it, and your attitude, and who you decide to run with, there are LOTS of fine people in the Tampa area!!!
I'd suggest you get out and get involved in more than just the bars and nightclubs - although Pub Crawls can be really fun!(Creative Tampa Bay Groups, Networking Groups, Art Gallery Hopping and Theater, Wine Tastings, Pet Outings, Bayshore Blvd, Festivals, the Beach!)

Yeah, I joined "It's Just Lunch" and Events and Adventures. IJL, huge mistake and waste of money, but Events and Adventures is fun even though they promised me that a lot of members are in my age bracket. Not soooo much...but I've met some cool late 40 and 50 year olds. LOL

Ha Ha! Yes, I wish I had that please be careful stapled on my forehead the other night. I went out with a guy that I was interested in (second date), but with his 55 year old uncle as well to a fancy dancy restaurant. It turns out the nephew (my date) was trying to pimp me to his uncle for an evening quickie. Wow there's some sickos out there! Yes, I went to the Rack Sunday for some sushi and my favorite rejection line (after a signaled for a guy to come over) was that he was taking home TOGO sushi for his girlfriend. OUCH! Or I've met pilots at the International Mall who are in for one night...and one night only. You know what that means....Yeah, maybe I need to go hang out at the Home Depot, or the bookstore...but that would be just trying to hard. I'd like to go have a good time and meet tons of people, but it seems like slim pickings for the right type of people.
