^^ I agree with this. Also, if you don't have one already, you need a CV on LinkedIN.

I am in finance/accounting. I moved from Ohio to Tampa recently. I used Taylor White and Trademark and found something right away. They are finance and accounting experts and only do finance/accounting jobs. They are excellent and have great, very trustworthy reputations in the Tampa. Sometimes with very large recruiters, you may not get the special attention as the more specialized recruiters will give you.

My situation may be a little different since I am a CPA, 8 years exp plus managment experience. The economy still may not be great but Taylor White told me it is the busiest they have been in 5 years before the economy went bad. Plus the companies in Tampa know them and trust them so they get alot of the positions other recruiters may not have. The recruiters at Taylor White are all former accountants, auditors, financial analysts, etc.. It can be hit or miss with the market, I just happened to be using them at a time when they had many positions coming in. However, they were honest and said many companies preferred local candidates in Tampa only. I got lucky and saw a position that perfectly matched my credentials. I had alot of experience with certain systems they used that others did not have. I really liked how Taylor White handled me the whole time. The same with Trademark. It doesn't hurt to contact them to see what they say or you may find other recruiters you like. I remember seeing several positions for accountants 2-5 years exp range.
