We are moving to Naples Florida from Ohio. Please tell us areas to stay away from. Looks like Golden Gate and the East side are crime filled is this right? We are thinking of a gated community. Your thoughts?

I know about this place - I live here and I understand what "hee-Haw" meant. While you're right about the points you made, the general population is a little on the redneck side.

I think whoever asks such a ballpark question is going to get tons of different opinions, it would be better to give folks an idea of what you like, age, single or not, rural/urban, kids, sport, water etc etc, then it will save you fielding a ton of answers that are not relevent. Just a thought. Every part of Florida will have something to attract you I'm sure, pick the general area and find out a bit more about that. If you want work, then look for where you are most likely to get a job and keep it, first.
