I guess that applies to bird cage liner as well.

Trying to sell more papers to a larger population, That's all...

When I lived in Hillsborough we NEVER bought a St. Pete Times but always the Tribune.

The Trib is crumbling, and the Times sensed an opportunity to stake their claim.

As long as the Times keeps up with the excellent writing and local coverage here in the 'burg, they can change their name to whatever they want.

Some one cares what the name is or they wouldnt have gone to the trouble of dropping the St Pete designation on paper and arena.

Of course they care for the name - they probably paid for it to be changed! For us who have no monetary stake in the paper, what does it matter what the name is?

I ended my financial support of the Times when I realized they have difficulty being objective.
