Long time lurker. First time poster.

Anyways. My husband and I are basically looking to move to Florida. We're not really sure which city, but we're leaning more towards Tampa the more we research it. One thing I cannot pin down are the neighborhoods. We live in Cincinnati right now, and we live in a quiet neighborhood not too far from UC. We love the close proximity to the college atmosphere, but we value our safety. I love the city life and will definitely have a hard time giving it up.

Is there somewhere in Tampa that has a city feel that's in a safe neighborhood? Either that or somewhere that is safe an doesn't have a long commute to city life like nightlife, day activities and things like that. Our budget would be around $1000-$1200. Looking for a 2 bed if that's possible for the price. Thanks in advanced. If there's anymore info I can provide to help you help me, let me know!

What about employment? There are several places that might meet your requirements but traffic can be horrible during rush hour.

IIRC we do have one person who posts here from that area who might be able to help

Well we both would be in the salon/spa industry. If we could find a nice place to live, we would look for positions in those areas or close.
