Please point me to somewhere besides your own "record keeping" that shows 147 days above 90 degrees.
147 days in the 90's? Considering St.Pete has 3 months that the average high is in the 90's, just barely (90, 91 and 91 in June, July and August), it would be hard to convince even a 3rd grader that there are 147 days in the year when it gets to 90 degrees.
Guess i will have to do a count on my weather records from last year. I don't think it will be close to 147 days of 90 or more.

It is possible to have max above 90 for five month not in the immediate visinity of Tampa or St. Pt. from the national weather stations though.

But here is one from Venice that the max over five month May to September (> 150 days) was above 90F

VENICE (089176)
Monthly Totals/Averages
Maximum Temperature (degrees F)
Year: 2011

Year 2011
May 89.7
June 93.1
July 93.1
Aug 92.7
Sep 91.7

My post stated there were only 3 months where the average was barely over 90 which would make it quite hard to have almost 5 months of highs in the 90's around Tampa.
Venice is about 80 mile further south and it is reasonable that they would have quite a few more days above 90.

Here are the average days above 90 for a few Florida cities. Ft.Myers is the highest at 110 days on average per year. Tampa 84.
Florida annual temperatures and records
I came up with 61 last year, the other poster somehow came up with 147.

April 8th was the first 90 degree reading at my house. Sept. 30 was the last. Different locations and elevations of the transmitter? Mine's at 6 feet, not on the roof.

I had a temp of 85 Apr 8th. My first day of 90 of more was May22nd with a temp of 92. Kinda late in May to see a 90 or more. My last day to break 89 was Sept 29th with a 90.

This was when i was still in west Pasco before going back to Danashores.

arguing over how hot the weather is in tampa is funny. its flat out hotter than hell for at least 5 months, every day with no real relief. picture your lil hot streaks up in the northeast that last a few days or a week....tampa is that every day for 5+ months. it may not be 105 but the 92 with insane humidity and severe angle of the sun down here feels even worse. its relentless like u wouldnt believe but then fortunately its very pleasant for the other 6 months

It is not argument, it is a matter of record keeping

this is true. however, there are only a handful of especially brutal days where it's practically "barricade yourself inside and don't even think about going out at all" weather. most of the summer hell is mitigated by a/c and a pool.
