Yesterday I posted a thread looking for an area within an easy drive to the greater Carrollwood area, because I've a new job there and my current drive is hellish at best. After having spoken with my boyfriend a bit more, we both decided that it's far more worth it to commute a little bit to get out of the city into a more calm, peaceful environment.

Because of this, I'm now looking into the LOL area. Can anybody tell me how cluttered/congested it is there, and anything else of value about the area?

We're not looking for something close to everything. We're not looking for city amenities, and things of that nature. We want peace and quiet. We'd prefer a mobile rental situation for a good while before we decide to buy something in the area.

We will not miss the city when we leave it, so this is a non-issue. We don't go out, or do clubs, or bars, or party, or anything of that nature. We're homebodies, and we like to be left to ourselves.

Any information about whether LOL would be a good place for us to start looking would be great, as well as any other non-city areas that we might want to look into as well.

Thank you all, again, in advance!

Sounds like LOL may fit you fine. I would look around things on SR 54 near Dale Mabry and/or The Veterans Expressway.

Lutz seems to be a tad closer to the city than we'd like, but I'm definitely looking into LOL. It seems very close to what we're looking for, without being so far from work that my paycheck would be eaten up in gasoline.

Thanks for your replies!
