I am too new to town to comment in detail on that particular neighborhood. It's quite a bit south of me as I am up near the corner of 19 and 50. I've never driven right through that neighborhood. Doing a quick cruise around with Google street view shows me that while it's not the nicest neighborhood in SH, it doesn't look terrible. Some houses look really nice, others a bit rough. I wonder how many are vacant. I see cars parked on lawns and other stuff that personally would bug me if I lived there. But, then again I wonder how old the street view pictures are...

That house just sold in February of this year. I guess someone is flipping it.

Downward spiral? Quite the opposite. The area is growing and expanding.

Spring Hill is a dead zone, culturally, financially, etc. Not sure why anyone would want to live there unless they are just sitting around waiting to die. No amount of trolling will prove otherwise.

Spring Hill is fine for retirees who don;t mind an occasional sinkhole. J/K I know very little about Spring Hill been there twice once for tubing the other one to get my dog who is a Spring Hill native. I just find it puzzling how there is always so many posts about Spring Hill.

Outsiders tend to show interest because it's near the coast and affordable. When they visit, they understand why it's so cheap. Then, 1 or a handful of posters get upset because someone spoke the truth about the place and troll into infinity.

If it were such a great place to live, it would be overrun with young families, amenities, and things to do. It isn't. It never will be.

I am going to guess that you read the article.

Just like everywhere, the recession or what ever you want to call it, happened here too.

What "truth" has been posted? It seems nobody here really knows the place or anything much about what is going on in the area. That's good. Stay blind. But, if anyone wants to know the reality:
