Moving to the Tampa area from Pa. Scared senseless about all the talk of high crime. Looking for 2BR apt. What are the safest neighboorhoods in the cty to live? Heard Brandon would be the first choice but need input from people that have lived in the tampa area for a while. Working near the Fairgrounds area and don't mind a bit of a commute. Please help. I'm about ready to pack up and go home. But i love my job and just want to be safe coming home and be able to sleep at night.

Working near the Fairgrounds, Brandon would be ideal, but what type of living environment are you looking for. Brandon enjoys suburban life, Malls, Strip Mall centers, lots of chain restaurants and stores, and sprawl(subdivisions, busy roads), but bery easy commute to Tampa.

Smile Safe neighborhoods in Hillsboro

Suburbia is just fine with me. I drove thru there yesterday and there seemed to be no shortage of nice apartment complexes. Thanks much for the input. Last thing I want to do is sign a lease and end up hating it or not sleeping at night.
