NPR is spread, old and ugly...long commute to anywhere...and Apollo is the same, nothing there really...I mean are you looking to drive a lot?

IF you enjoy walks at night, then find a gated subdivision...guarded... to be sure? I don't know...that's what I'd do...but I don't like to take walks at night because there are a lot more bugs, and I can't see them as well...or alligators...you can be in a safe area "people" speaking, and the get bitten by an alligator...which negates the word: "SAFE"!
Give the fear mongering about alligators a rest. There were NO reports of any alligator incidents in the Tampa area in 2010 (2011 stats not available), 1 in New Port Richey, and only 16 in all of Florida.

See for yourself.

The last thing on my mind would be getting bit by a snatchmagator. Much better chance of getting shot by a drug dealer.

As a single female, new port richey offers you absolutely nothing. Nothing.

Unless you are a stripper, then there are lots of shady strip clubs up and down US 19 you could work at. I kind of doubt this is the case.

Honestly I dont know how you settled on these 2 places, they are completely different.

Be aware though, apollo beach has lots of vacant homes and cookie cutter subdivisions as well, it's certainly not all nice. Plus you get to live right next to a real eyesore of that power plant, which showers you with toxic smoke 24/7/365.

Fitzgerald's (just off Main St) is, in my opinion, the nicest pub in the area with above average food. Very close to Gulf Harbors.

Check it out, if you haven't already been.
