It's a fact that just at or just over half of ALL Baby Boomers are single. I am blown away. Do you know how many people that is?

I've seen this question asked on other forums and many, many respond that they too are seeking the best place for our group. All the surveys for singles point to college towns. We are left out of the equation.

I see more organized activities for this age group on the west coast than anywhere else in Florida on dating sites. I'm talking 1/2 day Fishing Trips, Beach BBQ and volleyball, cruises...all sorts of things.

I'm on the wrong side of the state! If you live on the West Coast or are single and looking for the same thing the rest of us are please post and give us your take on where to be or where you plan to relocate to and why.

I plan to take some trips over there real soon to shop the area. I just don't want to waste my time looking in "bedroom communities" or "retirement havens".

Curious why there's such a high percentage nowadays? Careers first? As a single-40 y/o I find that the older I get the more "set" I am in my ways and the likelihood of finding a compatible mate is going to be much less.

BTW, I think the TB area has single golf leagues, too.
