My boyfriend and I are moving to Tampa in a few months, he works close to Devry Univeristy 5540 W Executive Dr and I will be attending school at USF off Fletcher. We want to rent a apartment our budget is $600 to $900. We would like to split the commute half way for both of us. Convientant and safety is a major concern, especially since my car is on its last leg. If possible we would like to live around older adults maybe somewhat more quiet than those who party and drink 24/7.

Are there any specific streets, highways or areas to stay away from besides North of Fletcher and East of Nebraska?
Any specifics on what traffic is like during any hours of the day going N,S, E, or W?

All I could find on my own was Seminole Heights, Carollwood, or Temple Terrace that might be a good place to start. We've been to Tampa to look for apartmentsbefore, but couldn't find a place we really liked.

I would appreciated detailed replies if possible. We have until the end of July to find a place.

Thank You

Quick questions: 1 or 2 bedroom, what size, do you want newer complex or does it matter?
Carrollwood area is nice and not that bad of a commute for him. I work out of an office on Memorial Highway and I never had a problem. Quite a few apartment complexes around there and Northward.
I know with school you both probably watch the money situation very closely. To me there is a big difference between that 600 apartment and 900 apartment. It's more than money.
I had an Apartment Finder book around here, but misplaced it. I am going to pick up another one today. If you want me to scan a few pages out of it and send them your way...let me know!

Default hey

Maximum is $1100. It doesn't matter if its one or two bedrooms, if its brand new or not, 800 to 1000 sq ft, just looks nice and is safe for the most part.

Washer/Dryer, ceiling fans, pet friendly, and gated community. Other ammenties we can live without, we don't want to pay for things we won't ever use.
