Well, not really a full-on massacre, but a murder-suicide.

Son sees father kill mother, self at Carrollwood Village Inn | TBO.com

I was stuck in traffic as every single cop in hillsborough county descended on the scene, after all the action was over and the scene was already secured. (someone explain this to me)

Good waste of taxpayers money there, glad there was no other crime going on in District 3 today around 1pm, as you would NOT have been able to get any Sheriffs assistance.

Sad that the children witnessed this.

Oh, by the way, this is inside my "red zone".

Sad situation. Hate to see these things happen in our city. Sorry you were inconvenienced by the police officers doing their jobs and ensuring our safety.

Yes, it was absolutely necessary for over 50 police officers to be on the scene of a murder where the suspect had already taken his life, and the situation was already secure. By the time I got there, all the "action" was well over, police tape was up, roads were closed off, fire truck and ambulance were already on-scene. It definitely takes 50+ LEO's to secure a parking lot...

Or all those tasty pies inside the VI.

The law has a hard time winning on these I think.

Not enough show up, people scream where is everyone, what are our tax dollars providing us?

Too many show up, it appears like they have nothing else to do.

Not saying which one is right or wrong, difficult spot though. They weren't all there, I had three patrol cars parked at thier homes in my subdvision!

^ Not sure why 50 were needed to respond to a murder-suicide that was already over.

It makes me sad to know those two children watched as their father killed their mother and then himself. There are just too many people running on a short fuse these days.

It is truly sad to hear these happenings in Tampa.
I'm sure there was so many Police force there because this is not an everyday occurrence in this place. If it was , there wouldn't be .

Area may have more than one perpetrator who are intent to killing as many people as possible - show of force is important.
In today's world, it may be much more involved than it initially appears.

Think of all the money they could have made writing tickets during that down time.
