At 9:30am on 6/30, I parked my blue 2003 Honda Civic EX (4-door) in the Kenwood area of 4th Ave N and 24th Street in St. Pete so I could walk over and hang out at the Pride Parade. I was parked legally along the street along with a number of other cars. I returned to the same spot around 4pm to find that my car was gone! I contacted the police and they said the car hadn't been reported as towed. They were very surprised to hear of a car going missing in this neighborhood.

Anyway this has never happened to me before and they said that if a car was towed, the police would be notified. It's the next day and I haven't heard anything - and I have combed Kenwood looking for my car in case someone took it for a joy ride or something.

The cops and insurance have already been notified so now I'm checking to see if anyone may have information regarding my vehicle. It wasn't fancy, but it was my only source of transportation so any info would be appreciated! The car had some paint corrosion on the roof and a leather bra with a slight tear in it. The back bumper had a lot of stickers on it. I'm attaching a pic of the rear bumper in case it helps identify!

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

My sympathies for losing the car.

Now about those stickers. Focus, man, focus. What cause are you REALLY for?

More than likely it was stolen friend. Do you have full coverage?

Most likely it's already been through the local chop shop! I doubt the bumper still has all those stickers.
Honda Civic's are one of their favorites. Hope the insurance takes care of you .

Default Found!

Hey - so I'm happy to report that the cops found my car a few streets away completely intact! They took prints but aren't sure what happened. Think perhaps someone took a joy ride in it or it was accidentally repo'd and returned when they realized it was the wrong car. Cops said that second thing happens quite a lot - which I was surprised to hear! I don't know, I'm just happy I got it back in one piece.

Glad things turned out okay.

You think the police chalked it up to you forgetting where you parked your car?

Did you leave the keys in the ignition?
