LoL, I'd say we had a MUCH greater percentage of "rednecks" in 1776 than we do now... I'd almost be willing to guarantee it.

Redneck thing? I guess you have never experienced a 4th of July in any neighborhood in NYC.

In Queens, Ozone Park, John Gotti used to close the street all night for the neighborhood fireworks show.

In Brooklyn, people were in the street competing with one another as to the best displays. Anybody from Dyker Heights, the Italians put on shows from the roof of the apartment buildings trying to sway the crowd from watching Macy's display out in the harbor.

This "redneck thing" goes on wherever Americans celebrate their freedom from England.

Check out some (or all or all of these) clips. The fist one is a Gotti show. The others shot in neighborhoods. It will happen again tonight. Here in Spring Hill and all across America.

This is how its done NYC style:

I remember spending a New years eve in SpringHill a few years ago and it was basically nonstop fireworks from 7pm till well after midnight.Started off with the occasional pop or bang but by 11pm it was quite noisy

Lol. It's a redneck thing. I'll bet 95% of the fireworks shooting hammer heads in my neighborhood (or most neighborhoods in the good 'ol USA) couldn't tell you a thing about the Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, who wrote it, who signed it, the names of the first three Presidents. Celebrating freedom from England doesn't even enter into their festivities-it's just an excuse for drinkin' and blowin' stuff up.

YEEEHAWWW!

Perhaps you should take the time to ask them about it. You may be quite surprised

Bigotry is such a disease in our world.
