They're everywhere. Never did figure out the scam as they seem to be all very similar. Quite the eyesore.

Yeah, that epidemic has spread here too a long time ago, and it seems the city does NOTHING to clean them up! It is ridiculous.

Depends on the roads.. here Rt#19 to me is same as Rt#441- some place in Miami they stopped it and the girls bars ads went all out war with the conservatives not to be be posted. Miami has many cities with own code enforment, to me Hialeah is the worse for signs.

Yeah, there is a "Sign Enforcement" bunch of people who go round removing them, but they are fighting a losing battle, seems every one they take up, two appear in its place. When the elections get here, the signs *really* go crazy.

^^ yes. They are referred to as snipe signs. The County Code Enforcement tries to pick them up at least once per week. Seems such a waste that their time could go toward more important things. It's a great way for investor wannabe's to blow $100 bucks.

I remember asking Code Enforcement a long time ago about Open House Signs and what is allowed. They told me they don't work after 5pm or on the weekends and to make sure I pick them up afterwards. Signs are cheap but I don't want to buy them over and over again either.

Some the Homeowner Associations have sign restrictions, too. I once held an open house at Magdalene Manors in North Tampa. I had people walking through the house for the first hour then it slowed and stopped. After the open, I went to pick up the signs and they were gone. When I approached one of the neighbors, she told me that the HOA police had picked them up. When I tried to retrieve them, the a**hole told me he'd thrown them away. He could have told me they were prohibited (the seller didn't know either) and I'd have picked them up but instead he chose to be a jerk.

I saw a report on TV on how towns fight the signs by using the robocall machines and call the numbers non stop with a message to remove the sign.
