Relocating back to Tampa Bay. Spent last summer-fall there & loved it.
1. VA Healthcare: Better @ James Haley in Tampa or Bay Pines in St. Pete?
2. Car registration: Statewide same or differs each county?
3. IT/Computer schools, VA Approved for GI Bill--which ones, what county?
4. Best beaches?
5. Most affordable rent in safe area, each county?
6. Crimes rates, each county?
7. Traffic?
8. Library system--free classes?
9. Accessibility? To govt offices, downtown, county to county, city to city?
10. LGBT Nightlife, groups etc?
Thanks! Lisa Lisa

2. Same across the state.
4. Best beaches are Gulf beaches and Hillsborough has none.
5-6. Rent and crime depends on neighborhood, not county.
7-8. Traffic depends on the route and time of day; can be good or bad in either county. Hillsborough-Pinellas travel is by car and mostly over the three bridges; they can be a slog at rush hour. Would recommend you figure out where you're working before you pick the county you live in.

I agree. I lived in Hillsborough for almost 3 years. You must elaborate once you find employment

Default Moving to St pete in OCt

If you want to be closer to the beaches then St. Pete or Clearwater is your best bet. Tampa is going to take you at least 40 min to drive to any of the gulf beaches. Nightlife is best in Tampa (channelside, soho, and ybor areas) I hear South Tampa is fun and nice but more expensive. Downtown St. Pete Is also huge on nightlife. they have many bars/clubs and venues. I have chosen to live in either downtown St. Pete or on the gulf coast (either treasure island/madeira beach have nice beach bars).

Goodluck!
