At about 9 a.m. just so happened to be on MacDill AFB today and while exiting the Bayshore gate, SSG Seiga's procession was just entering the gate. There were probably 30 police officers on motorcycles. Very somber to see.

The sacrifices our military make on a daily basis is the reason why Phelps and his Cult enjoy their First Amendment rights. For some organizations like the Westboro Baptist Hate Group, freedom of speech means you have a license to show how completely stupid, ignorant and hateful one can be.
Here in Texas, the Westboro Baptist Cult planned on protesting the funeral of a fallen soldier, students at Texas A&M got together and formed a human barricade to block any protesters from getting near the funeral or between them and the funeral procession of the soldier -- Phelps and his Cult never showed up.

I dealt with this group while they were in Norfolk, VA outside the main gate. I have never seen them around a funeral before, but even the thought of them makes me think that Freedom of Speech should not count when they cause so much hate.
