What kind of road is this between Brandon and the Turnpike? Is it a short cut? Busy? Middle of nowhere? Any cities/gas stations? Has anyone traveled on it recently? Any road work? Is it busy in the mornings?

Thank you.

Depends on the time of day, during rush hour (atleast in the evening) it can be pretty chaotic. You also get a lot of morons on that road who will do the speed limit or UNDER in the left lane.

I went to a cruise a couple of months ago, and I came back up the turnpike then 60, yea big difference, it was shorter than going down to sarasota and cutting across sr-70.

It's my preferred way to drive to & from south Florida. Once you get past the typical Brandon traffic, it's relatively smooth sailing.

Took this way before. I preferred it over any other way. I get sooooo tired of being on an interstate.
