The force of the vacuum kills it - or atleast mine does, its a dyson. I suck it up and it stops moving - i can see it through the container all dead!

LOL - I went through a much larger problem at the place we rented in Seminole. I got it under control though.

You have service, so you should be fine. Please understand that an occasional bug may find it's way in your house, even with service.

I specifically think bug services are a rip off. They no longer spray baseboards, saying there isn't a need. Pfft, whatever. I do my own service and I spray my baseboards every 6 months. I have had bug service before, I do a better job than they do. Anyhow....

Go to Do It Yourself Pst Control on Busch Blvd. Talk to the very weird guy and get some Bifen I/T. Mix it up in a pump sprayer according to the directions on the bottle and spray your baseboards.

Dust Borax powder under things such as couches, bed, nighstands, fridge etc. You are good to go.

Bifen I/T also works well on Spiders, Ants...anything really. Keep pets and children away from the pesticide until it has dried. Once dried... you are good to go.

I've said it multiple times on this forum.

The best way to get rid of palmetto bugs is to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy the big roach motels. Not the little ones, but the big ones. GEt about 2 or 3 boxes and distribute them throughout your house.

They work. I used them regularly and rarely ever see a palmetto bug unless it's dead.

Get a couple of lizards, they gobble up roaches and other bugs. They leave no residue.

if you need a vacuum to suck them up like that you must have a serious infestation; Id suggest calling an exterminator
