Did everyone see this on the news last night? The bridges around downtown Tampa have had beautiful colored led lights installed that change color. Got it done in time for RNC, but it's a permanent installation. I can't wait to go see these in person! Hopefully, one of our good photographers here will go and take some nice photos!

About time! The ones in Miami have had lights for decades now.

(I think it IS because of the RNC, as those bridges have been around for some time).

PS will see about pics...LOL if they'll still b on after RNC .....

No, those bridge lights have been 6 years in the planning, they were not just for the RNC. They are a permanent installation. I was hoping you'd see the thread and take some photos when you have the time, because no one takes prettier photos than you.

Thank you Gypsy, you're very sweet. I am going to go for sure, I loved the look of the one in Clearwater, and also those in Miami.

Which bridges got the lights? The one that goes from that Publix to DT? Or the one for Davis island?
What time do they come on? Are they automatic with the dusk, or later?

These are the bridges:

Platt St.
Brorein St.
Kennedy Blvd.
CSX Bridge
Lee Roy Selmon Expy.

Looking forward to seeing some photos. thanks for any and all who can take some and post! Looking forward to algia's and maniac's photos! Trying to find out what time these come on, but not having any luck so far.... Last night they "flipped the switch" at 8:15 p.m. Best I can find is they come on "after dusk"
