Can anyone tell me what we can expect for taxes and insurance on a $300k house in Land O Lakes and in Lutz?

Many thanks.

I'd say depending on exactly where you were to buy, 2800-3600. Insurance is right in line with Tim Tim Tim, about 1200-1500.

Ah, there are many at that price and higher. Even new home builds are going for more than that, and selling.

We have a nice area up here with prices pretty much full spectrum. With rates the way they are, the difference between a 200K home and a 300K home are about 500 a month. That is not out of reach of many people. Put a couple points on the interest rate, and that will change somethings though.

1300 a year is cheap. It would cost well over 10k a year to insure a house that was worth 225k in west Pasco west of US19.

I am in Hernando, west of US 19 and pay less than $800 for insurance with the catastrophic sinkhole coverage, if I remember correctly it would be about $1600 with the comprehensive. Land o Lakes/Lutz I would think would be in the same price range for insurance.

I don't see how it could be so cheap west of US19 in Hernado and cost near $4k to insure a 2bedroom crap box that is worth less than 30k in Westport.

The OP was talking about a new home, any home built after 2004 will have lower insurance cost. The homes in West Port are completely unrelated to the topic at hand as the question was about insurance in LOL/Lutz.
