Thanks for the research but I'm moving up to Land o lakes soon and I'm not driving 35-40 miles to play darts. I might have to try to get a garage league going since there seems to be no darts anywhere else. 8-10 guys, rotating between garages, it could work!

I got MUCH better at math when I started playing regulation/organized English darts. My daughter is getting better at it as well! Calculating out-shots and subtracting for the '01 games is a great teaching tool.
I seek a place that has bristle boards and a beer in the Clearwater area as well.

you won't like 'em better than steel tip I assure you. The best thing you can do for yourself is to get the HEAVIEST plastic dart possible...to replicate the feel of a real dart. otherwise they will fly everywhere and become very frustrating for you. I have thrown some pretty decent soft tips. Their accuracy is almost as spot on as steel BUT the boards outright suck...lots of plastic on grid = lots of bounce outs.

Have heard about Down the Hatch as well. I just called 'em and the gal said bring it! I think they have tournament play on occasion (nice). I'm going tonight, Saturday for first time. I looked at their website and the pics look almost like a schoolroom with fluorescent overhead lighting (bleh) and dry erase scorebaords. But hey...steel tips is steel tips and cannot be replaced with plastic electronic stuff. Will post my findings later!
Shoot well my friends and may your thirst be quenched.

Default Steel tip darts

I'm in Dunedin and there is a Guy at the Oldsmar Flea Market (Val Darts) that sells Steel and soft tip darts and boards plus pool equipment, but if any one would know where to play steel tip darts it would be him.
He told me about a place at Indian Rocks Beach that has a bunch of guys that meet informally there on Saturdays.
I've never gone there...
I just practice by myself.
Steel tips are more fun than soft tips....Just my opinion though...

Yeah, where are "Jarts" when you need them?
