Too bad about Verizon selling its Tampa Bay customers to Frontier. Hope that works out for y'all.

buy your own router - I have one that I wifi signal to the garage and even the street in front - never expected BH to supply a router - thought everyone had one for their wifi set up. $50-100 device....never had an issue streaming Amazon Prime, Netflix, listening to ipod - sometimes I think BH is getting the rap when people just need to have computer system upgrades......

the reason they are pushing you to Echo is because it is a FAR superior product that has flexibility to overcome typical issues with WiFi. Its 3 dollars per month, the wireless capabilities of the unit rival that of 150 dollar routers, the one you currently have (whichever it is) isnt half of what the echo unit is.

For instance, with mine I am able to speedtest at 75mbps on my 150 tier at the far end of my house (2200sqft 1 story) through roughly 5 interior walls and the kitchen.

Everyones house is "wired for Fios" being that they use the same cables inside the home as every other service provider.

Well it's not just Tampa, it's all of Florida. Not to mention all the other states Verizon has already sold off to Frontier.

I think it will be fine, as we already have top notch infrastructure in place. It's not like they are going to remove lines. The only question for existing customers will be pricing and customer service. If you don't have issues, you don't need customer service....so that just leaves pricing. Glad I have a two year price guarantee.

We always have DirecTV to fall back on, in a worse case scenario with pricing. I never plan on going back to BH.

How can people have DirecTV in Florida? At least when we had it a long time ago, it would cut all the time because of the rain. Do they still have the satellite thing?

It was great, except during the heavy afternoon rain/storm......which just happened to always be at the checkered flag.

Before Verizon came this way, my dad had Dish Network. All it took was a butterfly flying past the signal to screw it up.
