How sad it must be to see someone who is successful and instantly hate them. I'll bet it makes you want to overcook their french fries, huh?

Not that this crime is that horrible, but she must be so friggin stupid to think that this is ok, that society is probably better off with this moron off the street.

Well, the news stories say she wasn't taken into custody, so I guess she's still "on the street". Case was turned over to the State Attorney's office. She's new to the area. I have a feeling once she gets past this, she'll be new to some other area.

Thought it was a unusual and funny story. I'd never jump in the water w/ a manatee, but guess she's had experience doing those types of things. Now I'm sure she feels bad after all the attention it has stirred.

"I'd never jump in the water w/ a manatee"

Exactly. People who work with wild animals always caution not to approach them, no matter how benign they may seem. The story could have ended tragically, had the manatee rolled over on her.

Even the "swim with the dolphins" events have seen some trouble, where a dolphin has gotten a little aggressive with a swimmer.

Judging by the thread title, this is not what I was expecting! Like others, I saw it on last night's TV news. How stupid of that woman. Wonder what happened to the manatee?

she was over come by being that close to the animal and tried, for lack of better words "playing with it". turned her self in, did no harm to the manatee. her size or what she was wearing seems to be troubling to some of you, move on get a life.
