I am looking to purchase a townhouse or a condo but want to be near Tampa....because if I decide to move I have found that the job opportunities seem greater there...

I think I would like to work at a college - as that is what I do now and love it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How is Palm Harbor?

Palm Harbor is close enough to the University of Tampa but if you are looking at USF, it is a bit of a commute. New Tampa (33647) zip code would be better for the USF commute. Lot's of townhomes over in that area as well.

Palm Harbor is a nice clean place with excellent schools, but it is not close to Tampa, USF, or UT. It would be an unpleasant commute.

What are you looking for? Do you have kids? Are you looking for singles fun?

Mid county might be an idea - then you have access to several SPC college campuses - clearwater/st pete/seminole/gibbs
also USF in St Pete. If you live north county you have some SPC but longer drives to other locations.
Quite a lot of decent condo/townhomes mid county too. I think you should find a job before you buy a home though. Good luck to you

Not necessarily true. It depends on where in Palm Harbor you live. I live in Palm Harbor and I can commute to Tampa in very short order and pretty much pain free. Now if I was to the west of 19, that would be an entirely different story.

Default commute to TT

PriusH8r, if you live west of 19, how long would a commute to Temple Terrace take, approximately? Thank you!
